Ben Roethlisberger: Steeles “Got Short End of the Stick” With Schedule Change

Steelers’ players are no doubt unhappy with the NFL’s schedule change due to Covid-19. The Tennessee Titans had a covid outbreak, which has now negatively impacted the Steelers’ schedule and 2020 season. Ben Roethlisberger was not hiding his thoughts when asked about the change:

The Steelers now face 13 games in a row and had the earliest bye week of any team in the NFL. To make matters worse is the NFL’s new ruling on the Titans. According to commissioner Goodell, the Titans will have to forfeit any other games impacted by Covid-19. The Steelers game, however, was already moved so, by no fault of their own, the Steelers indeed received the “short end of the stick.”

Two more Titans have tested positive. That means they could forfeit Sunday’s match-up with the Buffalo Bills. The Bills, in that scenario, will not have their schedule or season affected in any way. They also receive a free win without having to play. If that scenario plays out you can bet that players, coaches and fans in Pittsburgh will not be too happy with the NFL.
