Thanks to the Chiefs, the Steelers Sit Atop the AFC North Division

For the first time since the 2010 season the Pittsburgh Steelers are 3-0. With wins over the New York Giants, Denver Broncos and Houston Texans the Steelers have the start to the season that they were no doubt hoping for.

Following their 28-21 win over the Texans on Sunday the Steelers became big Kansas City Chiefs fans for Monday Night Football. A Chiefs win would mark the first loss for division rival Baltimore.

Thanks to a huge game from Patrick Mahomes, 385 yards passing and 4 touchdowns, the Chiefs handed the Ravens their first loss 34-20. The Chiefs defense, which is not considered a top unit in the league, also made Lamar Jackson look very pedestrian throwing the football. Jackson finished the game completing only 15 of 28 passes for less than 100 total yards.

This game has to give the Steelers confidence in their chances against Baltimore this season. Their defense is much more formidable than the Chiefs and the Steelers offense is more than capable of putting up enough points to beat the Ravens.
For now the Steelers can be happy sitting alone atop the AFC North division. The last time the Steelers were atop the AFC North was after the end of Week 15 in the 2018 season.
